I deserve to have an awesome day at least once a week! And that day is always Tuesday, my day off from work. (It maybe should be Shabbat, but that is another story. Sorry, had to express my guilt at feeling JOY.) On Tuesdays, I go see Doctor Li and get Chinese acupuncture needles stuck into my head. Hehehe. I always tease Dr. Li that he’s sticking pins in my brain, but he corrects me that it’s only as deep as my skull. Still, it’s PINS!!!!
Oh no! I just premature published! Oops.
As I was saying… every Tuesday is Poorkitteh mental health day. For 40 bucks copay (because it’s covered by my insurance), I get a back and neck massage to break up my stiff muscles and move my vertebrae – hey that alone is worth $40 – but next I get acupuncture from a person who was actually born and raised in Shanghai, China. But wait, there’s more.
Next I usually work with the exercise therapist on my balance and back muscle strength. He was born and raised in Poland, and is adorable.
Then le pièce de résistance… FSM. Frequency Specific Microcurrent. FSM needs its own post, but it treats my anxiety and I feel positive afterwards. Positive. Imagine that. That’s my Tuesday morning ritual and it takes about 3 hours.
