My gym membership /fitness club /work-out circuit in Israel consisted of the fact that I lived on the top of a mountain. . . In order to go to the ATM, I had to walk up one hill, then around the side of the mountain, and then up a second hill. It took more than 15 minutes. Once I had visited the ATM, I could then cross the street and buy a chocolate pastry (rugalach) or a pizza roll at the bakery. That was my incentive to make the trip (: Every time I ran errands in town, I rewarded myself
