Love Poems for a Narcissist.

Once or twice each decade, I write a decent poem. I don’t know why writing poetry is so hard for me; but it may be because I like poems to rhyme and have a definite rhythm. Last Valentine’s Day, I was in Toronto, separated from the narcissist, and I wanted to enter a poetry slam. I wrote a new poem and read it on stage. The audience loved my read and showered me with unexpected praise. It was such an adrenaline rush!
